Otkrytoye Polotno is easily the largest territory currently mapped in The Tapestry, however only a small portion of it is actually inhabited. Those that brave the harsh climate are typically nomadic with a few spots of rooted structures as summer or winter settlements. One settlement in particular, called Coldhaven by the traders from the warmer parts of The Tapestry, serves as a safe market for international trades and is located just on the other side a craggy mountain range. There is a single path through it for those on foot or by cart, creating a bottle neck between the two sections of the land.

Beyond Coldhaven you are treated to a blanket of white that stays nearly year round with patches of forest protecting undergrowth and in some places the frozen ground is not so tough as to not allow hardier grasses to form, but are few and far between making animals rather nomadic in search of food.
